Among other disadvantages to Stettin, Extraterritorial Jurisdiction provides the Village with the legal tools to impose a two year “Freeze” or “Moratorium” on current zoning for Stettin residents within this jurisdiction. Once created, the Village of Marathon’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Committee will be composed of Village and Town members who may vote on any proposed zoning changes in the Town’s affected area.
